Shoppers have been able to enjoy
the new look shopping centre in
the last few days. Numerous
areas of the Shopping Centre
have been landscaped by local
company Office Landscapes. These
improvements offer shoppers a
relaxed ambiance and give them
somewhere to sit and relax and
have lunch, a spokesman for the
centre said.
Improvements include new lighted
bollards at each entrance of the
centre, a new “palm tree”
seating area in Castle Court and
a new quiet walled garden area
in front of the Post Office.
There has also been a complete
landscape overhaul in the North
Mall and new hanging baskets
throughout the Shopping Centre.

The
centres general manager said “Since we
opened these new areas a few days ago,
we have had excellent feedback from our
shoppers who have commented that these
improvements really lift the overall
atmosphere in the town centre.
We are
constantly looking for new ways that we
can enhance the enjoyment of our
shoppers experience and these works
follow a significant programme of
investment aimed at improving all of our
key facilities.”
The
centre's general manager travelled out
to the nurseries in Holland with two of
the Office Landscapes design team, to
hand pick the three Trachycarpus
Fortunei Palms. These Palms are central
features in the stainless steel
“Saturnus” planters. The seating around
each planter give shoppers an
opportunity to take time out from
shopping, to sit down relax and watch
the world go by.
